Group: Forum Members Posts: 133, Visits: 566	Apparently this occured during the shipping but the package was ok and I suspect others reasons : - Could it be due to the fact I left the gel coat (EC GC50) cure too long (more than 24hrs), causing delamination ? - Or would it be because of the GC50 thickness (but does not seem too thick for me) ? any other clue ? feel bad right now frustrated cause the part was ok when I sent it.

But when everything "clicks" there is no greater satisfaction (well maybe there is ) than pulling a perfect part from a mould. Once you reach that stage it's easy Ha Ha. Never had that with GC50 Hard to tell from the picture but the gelcoat does look pretty thick to me,...

Id say thats taken a whack. Thicker the gelcoat, the more succeptable you are to cracks occuring...

Definitely impact damage. You can see how it spiders from the contact point.

That's very thin 0.5mm, that will flex a lot and it would be very easy to generate a lot of heat...
