Group: Awaiting Activation Posts: 86, Visits: 1.2K	Looking into pre preg. Can any tell me roughly the full cost per sqm for using out of autoclave xpreg carbon? All layers needed including bagging materials etc.. And then cost of clear coating. Cost of running the oven (easy composites) Just trying to gauge the average cost of 1 small part made say wing mirror cover size. Thanks

Thanks The cost of consumables for making a small part such as a mirror cover is pennies. For oven running costs multiply your electricity unit cost by the wattage (in Kw) of the oven and then by the number of hours the oven is running. The cost of the carbon can be worked out by multiplying the area of the mirror by the number of layers you plan to use (personal choice based on how rigid you want the cover to be). Clear coating will also be pennies. Prep
