As there doesn't seem to be a huge amount of info online regarding this technique, perhaps we could start a thread for it.
It's something that I feel would be a great technique for my application and I'd be interested to see other peoples experiences and thoughts on it.

Is there a price per meter for this 'snap cure' Prepreg or do conventional prepregs allow this technique of rapid curing in heated platten moulds?

You can use lots of different materials for compression moulding. The Americans have been using bmc and smc composites since the 50s. I've done some stuff with prepreg and chopped prepreg similar to....

I use prepreg cured in hot moulding at work.From one up to 6 plys .Normally prepreg is layer up in mould then it's go to press for about 10min at 130 degrees
