Hi guys been skinning for a while now and I'm looking for the best resin that has the highest temp rating without post curing the parts.. I see the el2 laminating resin is higher than the xcr resin and even more if the slow hardner is used..
I didn't get on with the xcr resin before, pinholes and clear coating it was a nightmare!!
Also needs to be bubble free and crystal clear..
My process is tack spray carbon to the piece.. wet it out and then I'm vac bagging the part.
Thanks

For higher temp applications; we'd suggest EL160 High Temp Laminating Epoxy - We used ot offer a High temp Skinning Kit which included this resin.

It dosnt state what the hdt temp is without post cure? Also it's amber in colour so will it not effect the carbon colour?

It isn't really intended for normal temp applications so would need to be post cured in any circumstances. It isn't crystal clear, especially in thin sections but when used in thin sections, you don;...

I don't have the means to post cure unfortunately. What's the next best resin you stock? Also does your fusion spray only dissolve in epoxies resins not poly resins?

HI Just a question regarding the process, you tack spray carbon to the piece, then I presume you use release film the question is how do you prevent the resin from getting underneath the component an...

RGT, watch the EC tutorial video on skinning the rifle stock. Should explain everything you need to know. CmCarbon, without the means to post cure, most epoxies are going to perform the same at...
