Wow, what a journey this has been. I launched this idea on kickstarter and raised close to about 45k and assumed this project would have a time line similar to previous plastics i was working on. Man i was wrong. My stress levels were through the roof throughout this project and i had a reputation that i painstakingly took to build to keep. This has been a real journey for me on a personal, artistic and business level.

Pros
The strength is insane. I have no way to put it but, it's immediately visible just by the act of squeezing of the frames. The flex is minimal but the strength is almost 4-6 times stronger than tr-90 and tr-90 is already a mid to high end plastic depending on the grade and brand you chose.
We opted for the raw finish no coating no extra painting nothing. Straight out from the injection mould. the only thing we did was to polish any rough edges. To keep in line with the aesthetic feel.
Cons:One of the most difficult materials to work with for complex geometry and mass production.
The first think i learned about carbon fiber composite as a molding material, is that it does not work the same way as plastics such tr-90 etc. Add the complex geometry in the following design molding and essentially it turned out to be a molding and injection night mare. The molding it self took about 3 months to solve and carbon fiber composites has a high rejection rate when you go for mass production.
this is one heck of a super elite though material , expensive but insanely strong to the extent that no other comparable plastics come even close.
