Under normal conditions it's quite unusual for aluminum to corrode like this. Or are you referring to the possibility of galvanic corrosion once you have combined the aluminium and carbon fibre into the finished panel? - If this is what you mean then although galvanic corrosion is a consideration in high risk environments (such as helicopters subject to sea-spray) it is highly unlikely to be a problem in the environment (and service life) of a formula student car.
