Vinyl as a release layer?

Group: Forum Members Posts: 73, Visits: 473	Does anyone know if tooling gelcoat sticks to vinyl? I just wondered if vinyl could be applied to a plug as a temporary smooth release layer before applying a tooling gelcoat to make a mould rather than prepping it with release agents/wax?

Group: Forum Members Posts: 73, Visits: 473	Unfortunately I don't have any tooling gelcoat yet. Would epoxy laminating resin have similar results as I have some of that I could try against vinyl?
