Hi all, I'm finishing my plug to a nice finish, can I spray with a primer from a can to expose any imperfections ?
or any suggestions to achieve the result

Hi,

If you're just using a very light dusting of a contrasting coloured paint as a means of identifying high and low spots as you flat then that should be OK however if you're talking about a full coating of rattle-can primer then I would be very nervous of that - rattle can paints wreak havock with release agents and so are best avoided where possible.

Like I say, a light dusting is fine, even if you're going to prepare it with Easy-Lease because effectively you'll be rubbing all the solvent based paint away; the time to worry is if you're using it as a complete coat for your pattern.
