Hello all!

I have never done anything with molding, GRP, CF, nothing, so I think it's time to add that to my set of skills!!

For the start, I found quite interesting in woven glass fabric offered my easycomposites and advantages over chopped strand mat. I wonder if it's possible to give me some idea of layup for a car body please, some advise in how many layers of woven glass fabric should be recommended, or perhaps a combination of 100g + 300g? Would I need core material?

The project I would be looking at is a car bodywork with somewhere like 3.6mts length, 1.7mts width and 1.2mts height on top of a space frame chassis.

I'm not sure I provided enough information to have an answer, or my question is too vague, so please you can help me to improve my question (sounds weird isnt it?)

Many Thanks,

Marcio.

The layup will vary again with the shape and type of panels. eg flat panels, curved panels, doors, boots etc.  There is no one guide that works for everything.  If its for road use you will want it thicker than for track/drag use.
