Hi Guys
I wrapped the instrument binnacle on my little MGF and was very happy with how it looked. Not perfect by any means but everyone who saw it was impressed. Recently however the car has been kept outside more than before and it has started to go Yellow. I used Gurit SP106 and lacquered with Halfords lacquer which is supposed to be UV resistant.

Is this normal?
Did I use the wrong epoxy?
Did I use the wrong Lacquer?
 
Since wrapping this part I have got a compressor and spray gun so can use a better lacquer for new parts but not sure what to ask for at the paint shop.

Any advice gratefully accepted.

Thanks guys, I will try to find a proper paint supplier in my area. Now I have a compressor I can spray real paints and lacquers instead of the thinned down rubbish that comes in rattle cans. I know my binnacle is stuffed but I want to make sure it doesn't happen again. Not sure If I can get ppg dc3000 here in Northern Ireland but I'm sure they will have something similar.
Do you think it would have made any difference had used Gurit SP115 instead of 106. On their website it claims to be UV resistant but I bought the 106 because it was cheaper.
