Car instrument binnacle has turned Yellow

Hi Guys
I wrapped the instrument binnacle on my little MGF and was very happy with how it looked. Not perfect by any means but everyone who saw it was impressed. Recently however the car has been kept outside more than before and it has started to go Yellow. I used Gurit SP106 and lacquered with Halfords lacquer which is supposed to be UV resistant.

Is this normal?
Did I use the wrong epoxy?
Did I use the wrong Lacquer?

Since wrapping this part I have got a compressor and spray gun so can use a better lacquer for new parts but not sure what to ask for at the paint shop.

Any advice gratefully accepted.

This is what I did.

Good advice Kidpaint, I have heard a lot of bad things about 2k paint so will try to avoid it if I can.
I haven't got a respirator yet as I have only ever sprayed the odd thing from rattle cans but it is on my list of things to buy before doing any real spraying.
