Finished the next part for project Fiesta St, the engine cover. As with the door mirrors this is a skin that will be bonded onto the original cover. The original cover has a brushed aluminum badge but the customer just wanted a ghost of the badge on the new part. Just for a changed I decided to use 450grm as the surface layer again with GC50 Gelcoat.

I think the larger weave works for certain applications, it also has the added bonus of being much easier to lay into more complex moulds without having to worry too much about weave alignment.Wink
