Hey guys,

This is my latest work. This is after 1 layer of base coat, then waiting 3 - 4 hours then apply the fabric. Let it fully cure.
Then I added 2 layers before I started to sand with 120 grit.

Now the problem I have is I sand through the carbon showing gaps where you can see through the epoxy.

My question is what am I doing wrong?

     I guess you answered your question yourself...you are sanding through the CF. 120 is a very low...
