I've been gathering stuff now. And finally I'm ready to just do this.
I've got my plug ready. Got my resin, glass and picked up some graphite powder for surface coat.
I really didn't think about this till now but I've got no way to measure my resin. Would a paint mix cup such as one from harbor freight work?
How much graphite to resin should be used?
My resin is wb400 with LH101 hardner from resin services.
Thos project is really small in size. It's a knife handle. The mold will be a 2piece as there is no way to bag in between I will make the 2 sides and bond them together using the molds.
I have access to a vacuum pump but I don't have any real vacuum bag material. I'm gonna attempt to use a space saver bag. I'm running a test to see if the vacuum last overnight.
As I remember it held well in it's intended purpose.
I've got some polyester batting for breather, I'm planning on plastic wrap for release film.
I guess I'm just looking for some confirmation that yeah everything sounds ok, not the best but good enough for a garage one time deal.
Thanks.
