Hello,

I'm making 2 B-Pillar for my car using the uni-mould system followed by laminating it.

The two moulds were made right without any issues.

Today I tried to laminate them, but when i'm going to put the first layer of resin, it happens that in some parts goes away.
I've used 4 layer of Easy lease.



How can I avoid this?

It is normall, you don't have to worry if the holes are not really big,

It is quite common with very slippery release agents such as EasyLease that you get the fisheyeing effect on surfaces, especially sloped surfaces. You have to keep working it until it begins to thicken and gel and stays in place.

If you are really struggling, you can coat the mould in a layer of mould release wax on top of the EasyLease as it will then have a slightly less slippery surface and you will get less fisheyeing.

For Wojtepanik, making of b pillars moulds for my Audi S3 it's quite easy, as there's a simpe cover on it

I've just demoulded my part, and this is what I've found.

So you used a gelcoat? It can be moist maybe, causing some 'clouds' inbetween the layers...or brushmarks or contamination from your brush?!

this looks for me like i had with carbon fiber and tryed to think it is bad mixing or something other but i found that it was not cleaned correctly as small not visible layer of wax was on top so it acted almost same. but also This can do moisture. try to use clean sheet to clean and use acetone , then use new brush. and notice that cleaning item do not have any wax and never used to client these surfaces as i was caught on this .

All I used were new!

then maybe something in in resin? maybe got moisture ? or was in cold place?

My thoughts would be moisture too. Or perhaps too thick resin as it can appear slightly cloudy if the resin layer is thick and the fabric has lifted.
