To make laminated wood planks using Epoxy, just liberally coat all the strips in laminating resin e.g. EL2 from EC, wrap them in release film, and clamp them hard together on a flat surface.
After the "plank" has cured completely, remove the release film and sand down the plank to a nice even finish, then use coating resin, or a 2-component polyurethane coat (laquer)
This is the way most "wood-strip" Canoes and Kayaks are made, as well as wooden laminated boat-hulls..
Generally the resin will "discolor" the wood much less than the coating you put on top...
"Sapere Aude"... Dare to KNOW!
