Let's say you have a bonnet you want to skin with carbon. How to prepare the surface (which is obviously made of paint and clear coat) ?
Do you proceed the exact same way as for a plastic part (as shown in the Carbon Mods tutorial video) where you start with sand the part ?
Is making such a big surface not too risky ??

You still need to rough the surface to ensure good adhesion between the base coat and the bonnet....
