You still need to rough the surface to ensure good adhesion between the base coat and the bonnet.
People have successfully skinned bonnets and other large panels before, although I recommend a small piece to start with or work on a spare panel from the scrap yard in case it goes wrong.Ok Warren,
Which grit would use ? 120 ? 240 ?
...and, which depth should I sand down to ? (do I aim at sanding clear coat only ? or till paint ? metal ?)
Also, would you be so kind as to point me towards the material list I woud need to order from the EC store ? (I mean the different resins required to do skinning) for about the size of a complete car
