Hey Chris,

If I had to give a try at the bow limbs, I would use the PVC foam (or even experiment with other), but I would not use carbon fiber fabric on the outer layer.

I would have a try with the braided sleeve at least for the "cosmetic" layer, so the look would be nice and even.

Maybe a supposed layup would be that: foam core, wraped  unidirectional along the length, and Braided Sleeve as the outer layer.  Numbers of layers would depend of the strength you would need.

Sure i dont know anything in archery, and i bet other guys would refine this guess, but i hope i helped.

Joe, thanks its a start i have had some good results with maple cores and gordon composite Eglass a

GC-70-ULS:UNIDIRECTIONAL FIBERGLASS WITH 50/50 WOVEN INLAY

but i am having a problem working out a comparison between this and as to bending of ProFinish™ carbon 200g, 3k, 2/2 twill carbon fibre fabric

which in a bow limb = pounds pull. if this makes any scence. I am thinking that swapping glass for carbon

may have the same bending stiffness so equaling the same poundage but having better torshonal stability

and so an increase in speed ?

Suppose i will just have to go shopping and give it a try.
