With prepreg, I make sure I have one piece that has a clean cut, preferably along the warp or weft. Then I just lay another over the top, overlapping the join. I think you should be able to do the same if you wanted to skin. I would tackify the cloth with some cheap hairspray (cheapest possible, don't want any perfumes). You'll essentially have a cloth that behaves like prepreg but without the resin if that makes sense. You can then cut it cleanly and lay it on the part.

Hi... im not sure this topic is up before. I would like to ask... How to have a clean and strait joint lines in between 2 carbon sheets? Lets say using the carbon skinning technics.
