I've tried searching around for an answer to this, but can't find anything definitive..

I'm hoping to use the mound making kit to remake the seat unit on my motorbike - it's in three pieces, so shouldn't be too difficult - but I keep seeing the words 'destroy original' or similar, and I was hoping to re-use or sell the originals..

Is it possible to make moulds from painted plastic parts without destroying them??
