Looks fantastic that!
Be lovely to seen a carbon bodied M12 as I spend a lot of time working with the new M600. Be a nice change from the norm for me.

yes I bagged up the entire mould, for me its the only way to get a decent seal on large split moulds

Could you post some pics of your molds (any of the multi piece ones)? Did you use bolts to hold the sections together? what did you use to seal and mate the flanges?
Thanks.

I have seen pics of your hood completed in the v post from a while back. I was wondering on your finished hood how many layers of lacquer/clear coat did you end up using. It looks like you got what appears to be a brilliant shine.

I don't have many pics of the front clam mould as its now in storage.
Im going to be making the centre clam over the coming weeks so will post some pics up.... basically I bolt the parts together and use a small amount of wax or clay in the shut lines depending upon their location etc... I then envelope bag the entire part to get a good seal although in truth I find getting a total seal very hard on these large complex multi part moulds.

In the past i have sealed with tile/bathtub caulk and let cure over night. I have also tried silicone caulk but this was a real bitch to remove from the mold surface.....

I too use clay and envelop bag, and I also have a hard time getting a total seal on large multi-piece molds. Although, I prefer it to the cabling method. I first tried that approach with gasket maker. Almost destroyed the mold trying to separate the halves.
