It`s nice to learn of this interesting forum, I´m working to get a carbon fiber part of 4mm thinkness, I will use Resin infusion starter kit and about 12-13 Carbon Fibre Cloth Fabric 3k 2/2 Twill 195gsm layers, but actually, I do not know how much is the maximum recomended number of layers per infusion. Could someone give me an advise?

I've infused 8-layers once of Kevlar and Carbon (200g and 500g) so you should be able to do a lot of layers with a good flowmesh.

Hi Matthieu, I want to make a box which will contain some sensors ( 25 kilograms ) fixed to a vehicle, also,  It has to be ligthwight and hard enough to support travelling issues.

Infuse it slowly and you should be fine. 

Also there are much cheaper ways to get 4mm thick carbon such as using a heavy weight cloth such as our Carbon Fibre 2/2 Twill 12k 650g which is 0.9mm thick and even when used under vacuum is still about 0.8mm thick per layer.  Much cheaper way of building thickness than using a standard 200 gsm cloth.

Also don't bypass cored panels as you will be surprised how strong they can be.

Great! It is a good new to know that only needs one infusion process. I will spend more time and cloth to get it, It is late to buy 12k 650g, however, now I know this for future projects.
