not having anything to do with cycling as it means i have to do exercise, it would seem to get expensive having to replace the rims at regular intervals.

i would think re-coating the surface with a good product would work, thats taking into account that the carbon wheel is ok and not worn after being in contact with the brakes.

Finding the right product is important due to safety, i doubt any of the resins would be suitable and i could point you into the direction of Camcoat in Warrington. I have no connection with the company and have never had reason to use any of their products but they may have a suitable system.
