That's looking good, and very light too!!
Is there any gel coat or is it just resin?
I'm assuming that it's 2 halves that join at the front rather than the 1 piece?
Hi Chris
This was plain wet lay and vac bag and no gel coat and yes it will bbe made from 3 sections, the bike its being fitted to is a class winner and had four wins out of four races at the weekend and so reduced weight is our priority. It will have to be painted ( with a light coat) as classic bikes can not race with visible carbon.

I have removed the fairing from the mould and you can see the results below, all done with EC products and vacuum bag. Pre trimmed weight is 315 grams .

I will have to take your word for it Ha Ha or this could go on for ever
But I still can't see how there can be enough room (unless you lay the bike on its side) to get the lower section on in one piece. Perhaps that's why I only raced things with four wheels

I still can't see how you fit it with the front wheel/forks fitted. Or am I missing something?
Warren
Hi Warren
You slide the lower section under the bike from either side the lift up into place and fit the six Dzus fasteners.

My guess is there is a front nose section too.
That's looking good Chris, is it classics racing at the weekend?
Hi Chris
Yes i have already made the top section in carbon , 160 grams
i have another four weeks before the first meeting, i am sponsoring a rider this year by supplying a bike plus fuel etc and of course i look after the bike, it revs to 16,000 so the crank re builds will keep me busy. The bike is very lite as i have used Titanium fasteners, had an alloy radiator made and i use narrow section tyres, the carbon will take it to the next level and i will also fit a Li Po battery instead of lead acid.

Hi Warren
The fairing for this bike is actually a two piece, one small upper section and a large lower section. It is for the bike in the image bellow that will be raced in the UK this year in the classic 50cc championship.
