Hi I am looking for info on methods to make carbon fibre moulds to be used in the plastic rotational moulding process,we have fibre glass mouldings
With flanges that would directly make the finished moulds in cf,the questions are what would be the best resin to use at high temperature and what would be a good finished mould thickness to allow for long life and fast heating in the process oven, any advice will be appreciated brad

may I ask you why you would like to replace the Fiberglass moulds into CF-Moulds?

In terms of resins, our
High Temperature Epoxy Laminating Resin
will go upto 180C. You would need to postcure the mould upto the planned operating temperature.
In terms of mould thickness, it depends on the moulds you are copying. If you are copying them exactly then you could probably reduce the thickness a little bit to take into account the extra stiffness that a carbon laminate will have compared to basic glass fibres.
