Did you watch carefully how they vacuum bagged the inside of the intake manifold?
It hit me that you can bag the inside of a tube by making the bar a tube and feeding it through the middle and then joining the ends of the tubes together on the outside of the hollow mold. I am building a tube mold as I speak to test this and will share pictures if it works. This opens up a whole lot of possiblities if it works.
I encourage everyone to look this video over carefully. This is the highest end of carbon in my opinion.

Fred i was all over those split molds they have on the table. mind bending and i love seeing new ways to do things.
for chevy trucks the frames are formed by water under pressure in a tube and mold to give it the final shape.there is very little we can do to repair them when the frame is damaged.
now--
tube that fits your need-- use a modified bicycle inner tube and the usual prep and let the inner tube press the cf where it needs to go to make a tube. use
Braided Carbon Biaxial Sleeve
to make a seamless tube. if you have access to any mandrel bent tubes you can make a two piece mold and have mandrel bent constant diameter bends if say you were making turbo or supercharger ducting.
i wonder if the inner tube idea will work with square or rectangular tubes as well?

Yes this is interesting, in my current project I will have to do a tube and I am right now thinking about a latex bicycle innertube and infusion,
but the problem would be the same as stretch bag and infusion I guess, the bag would stop the flow in the flow media.
How fix this?
A layer of un-perforated in between the flow and bag maybe?
Or maybe not a bicycle tube at all, regular nylon bag made to fit, the wrinkles might not be a problem.

Hi Scott
No need for the inner tube just the vacuum bag. At least I hope so. I have my mold made and am about to attempt to do this with the EC prepreg I just received. Just like you saw on the video you posted. re: the manifold clip where he is seen pulling the vacuum bag through the inside. I will show step by step pictures if it works for me.
