Hi, I was wondering what would be the best method to make a cone for a 8" woofer.

I want to make a special shaped cone for a home made woofer. It must be light as possible but with a good strength.

I have bought a prefab. model to observe and that is made of 1 layer carbon fiber (very thin and strong but not smooth on surface you feel the fibers). (maybe made of pre. prep carbonsheet ?)

I prefer to make it with vacuum infusion because pre. prep is difficult to keep on stock. But is vacuum infusion more heavy as pre. prep? What is the minimum thickness? Would it make a significant difference?

The cone itself is at 35-40degrees angle. Is it possible to make it at home without folding or getting lines in the carbon fiber?

Thanks for your time.
