Hi - you guys have made it so easy to get hold of a great range of materials. Thank you.
I build sailing dinghies - mostly wooden ones, but will shortly have a GRP hull with a split side-deck to fix.
It will be a letter-box repair using epoxy and glass cloth (in preference to polyester resin as I really don't like styrene).
Two questions:
1. Is your gel coat product UV resistant? (Usually I would expect to have to varnish any epoxy finish I use on a dinghy to provide adequate UV protection)
2. When colour matching the existing gel coat, what proportion of pigment can be added to the mix? (Generally I would work on 5% max)
Look forward to hearing from you
