So I have done many infusions and they most of the time went ok.
only problem I had was because of heat the parts started getting some rpint though ( bike and car parts)

So I now wanted to post cure my parts in mould so it wont get print through anymore after its clearcoated and put on the bike or car.

I always use IN2 Epoxy Infusion Resin with fast harder or mixed fast and slow.

I got perfect vacuum droptested over night.
after part was infused I had the vacuum on until the resin was gelled up.
Got the part sitting 48H in room temp no signs of air in infusion mesh or anything.
than I had it in my oven for 3H at 40°C

let it get to room temp and the part has print throug Sad

mould was postcure to 90°C
and stil got mirror finish on it.

We have several post cure cycles in the IN2 TDS including one for surface finish.  I would follow that cycle which is as follows:

• 24hrs at room temperature
• 2hrs at 40°C
• 2hrs at 50°C
• 5hrs at 60°C

If you need to push the HDT to its max, continue the post cure as follows:

• 2hrs at 70°C
• 4hrs at 80°C

Go for the post cure above and you should be fine.   Remember also if its slow hardener, it can take 30 hours at 20C to cure and this time of year, if it cools over night, much longer.  So it is possible its a bit green and the heat then softens it a bit too much giving the print.

I know the cure above but when I had it for 48H at room temp ( fast harder)
and 3H at 40°C and I had print thru so I dont think the 2H at 50 and  5H at 60 would have changed the result

At some point resin will always shrink to a certain degree, and while curing in the mould can reduce print through, the laminate will always have some internal stresses and will relax over time and give you print through. This is a mayor pain in the neck even for big automotive manufacturers, and somewhat worse with loosely controlled processes in a garage.

Did you use 100% fast hardener? You will experience more print through using 100% fast hardener, as the exotherm will get relatively hot. Although you can do it, these resin systems aren't really intended to be used with fast hardener on its own, it is supposed to be a blend.
