Hello
I have made some molds of CS25 Condensation Cure Silicone Rubber

but since the parts I make in the molds are for cars, you want to be able to paint them in a safe way, this becomes very difficult as the parts become very contaminated with silicone from the moulds

so my question is if it is possible to make the molds of px60 instead of getting away from the silicone?
if so, what should I use for release agents?
or is it possible to completely remove the silicone from the products made in the molds?

best regards Johan

Generally in silicone moulds, by the time you have sanded the cast resin ready for painting and wiped down with IPA/acetone, there is no problem with paint adhesion. Quite a lot of crafters use silicone moulds for resin casting work where the parts are subsequently painted.

If you did want to go down the PX 60 route, you would probably need a spray on release agent for ease of use.

but it would be possible to make the mould of px60?

I have worked for many years with fiberglass manufacturing where I have only used  release wax in my molds could it be an alternative as a release agent?

You can make a mould from Px60 but you will need to use release agent each time.
