I want to identify some carbon cloth. I’m repairing a carbon bike, Pinarello f8. The carbon is visible under clear coat so I’m after the exact same weave. I ordered some 1k plain weave but it’s not quite the same because it’s a loose weave (I can see lots of holes Holding up to the light). This looks like a very square and dense pattern, almost like spread toe. It’s about 7 picks percm and approx .2mm thick. Can anybody identify it? Picture below.

There are some slightly heavier Plain Weave's around but they are really rare.  We used to stock a 130g plain weave which was actually really nice as compared to the 90g the pattern was much denser and less gappy.  Unfortunately the manufacturer stopped making it as otherwise I'd be pointing you in that direction!

Yes I’ve just checked and it’s 90GSM I’ve got. I’ve a sample of 210GSM but that’s 5 tows per cm. Pinarello state Toray T1100 1k but that might be the unidirectional which sits underneath the weave. Thanks for the reply anyway. Makes me wonder what these pro bike repairs use?
