Wax with spray glue will it work?

C Group: Forum Members Posts: 86, Visits: 639	+x torsten - 9/21/2020 11:11:24 PM That part looks fantastic in shape and design, well done getting it replicate to that result I think you did not polish the wax off fully or may have used release agent on top of that wax, coating it with spray adhesive etc. Don't be offended that is just a thought and I may be wrong I use release agent only now on moulds made from epoxy or polyester having had lots of problems applying over-callously layers of wax or PVA on top of that all the best and good luck I used easy lease and then spray glue, look like it might be just to much glue. Hope it will clean off and then polishing will help.

Most of that shape should pop out easily, just take care there isn't any mild "mechanical locking" on the part edges or the vent slots. That can make things a bit more difficult. No reason why you can't also use mould release wax. We recommend the minimum use of spray adhesive as possible as it can leave marks on the surface. The more you use, the worse the surface finish will be so a very light dusting is all we recommend if you use it. Definitely stuck, not mechanical lock cos I had to slide in plastic spatula to lift it up from mould.

Prior to my purchase of this wax directly from Stoner, I called Stoner to get details on how to apply it. Their recommendation is a little different from the Easy Composites description of how to apply it. The recommendation from Stoner was to apply each coat to a small area (if the part is large), immediately wipe off, then wait 60 minutes prior to applying each additional coat. This allows the solvent to flash off. They recommended seven coats of wax and one additional coat of wax after each part is pulled off the mold.

C Group: Forum Members Posts: 86, Visits: 639	Made my infiusion.It was very hard to take the part out. I used easy lease with spray glue to hold the fabric. Can I use wax ?Will glue stick to the wax?
