j Group: Forum Members Posts: 42, Visits: 469	how can i avoid the gelcoat puddling up when brushing it on. i used 7 layers of easy leaze and 2 coats of mirror glaze 88 wax but it ends up puddling together as water in a bucket of oil. help please.

Month later. Yes i know. I added 1 theespoon of silica with 100ml of gelcoat. Thats a world difference. Later i tryed 1.5 thee spoon.(perfect!) Mixed up 24h before use. Brushed in and yes. Problem....

Just don't go too mad with the fumed silica as you will loose the clarity if you do.

I dont. At my first try i used 1 theespoon. Now 1.5 theespoon for each 100ml of gelcoat. .i dont realy see it coulding up.. i mix 24h before i apply at least. But in my case i dont need 100%...
