Although my mould is not quite finished yet can people see if it's going to be okay to vacuum bag it? My idea is to lay some Carbon Fibre and use Fusion Fix spray around the outside top edges where the green arrows are pointing to secure it and then sealing the bag all the way around on the underside of the mould, will this work?

Top piece is pretty tight, you'll have to take your time making sure you don't get any bridging in there. Looks doable though.

Don't try to seal the bag to the underside of the mould, this rarely works. Envelope bag the parts instead, much more reliable.

Hi and thanks for the reply, can you explain how you would envelope the bag for this if you were doing it?

I am a little confused as to what you are planning to do. Are you bagging these pieces separately or trying to bag them together with the carbon between them or is the carbon going on the outside?

Perhaps I'm not understanding what you are trying to do, as to me it's very straight forward and obvious? Are you laying these moulds up seperately?

Hi and yes I am planning them up separately of course and the carbon fibre is going on the inside...

Yes I am doing them separately, how would you do it?

As Hanaldo suggested, place them in separate bags.

Thanks and yes but do you think it's okay to seal the bag just over the edge on the underside?

No, make a bag as this is much easier than trying to seal against the mould's surface. Unless your mould is 100% defect free air is liable to seep through it and you will have no end of trouble getting a decent vacuum. Ask me how I know :-) What is your objection to using a complete bag?
