Dear friends,
I need help about using true material for my carbon fibre jobs. I am living in turkey and i dont have much option for materials. Lots of brands couldnt be found here. There is a chemical company which sells carbon clothes and chemicals.
I am skinning some of my cars parts. Mirror caps, door handles, interior trims etc.. Not moulding or infusion. When i train myself and learning about carbon fiber techniques, i used clear epoxy and resin. But soon, i have learned that these resin and hardener is used for hobby purposes, like jewelry. Then i bought some professional one, propox LH300. Resin was clear but hardener was amber color and smells very bad. Anyway, i finish my part with propox. Then, i realized that part looks yellowish shade, esppecially in sunlight. I though that something is wrong. I have contacted with this chemical company, explained the problem and they send me a different product. MGS hexion L285. But its color is blue. If i use mgs,my parts finish will be blue shade. The company said to me that they dont have a clear type and insisted that this is true product for carbon fibre jobs.
I dont know what i will do, need your helps.

MGS Hexiom L285 is a good product, I've used it before because it is one of very few resins that are approved for use on gliders. The blue colour is a tint they use so you can see it has been mixed.....
