Long time reader, first time poster here.

I've been using MTI Hose for the past 24 months for infusion. I have a section of the hose from an earlier purchase My guess is late 2017), which appears slightly different to the hose I purchased in Feb this year. The covering of the older hose is not as glossy as the new one, and has some kind of mesh reinforcement. The older hose also pulls vacuum on the bag much quicker. 

Has anyone else noticed this? And when did it change?  Is the older style still available anywhere?

I don't know if it's changed, but you could pull down the bag through the resin feed and then change back to normal.

This is what i do when working with MTI hose and this works a treat. Much easier to find leaks as you have more air flow and therefore you can hear leaks you can't otherwise.

Hello, we are the producer of the MTI Hose. The hose should be the same. What can be is that the Membrane is sometimes more or less glossy. Mostly it has a matt finish.
It is a 3 layer compound, membrane/blue fabric/black veil and inside a spiral.
There should not be a mesh inside! Can you post or send a picture?
If you have problems with the product we will exchange your hose and send you a new roll.
