Hello folks . . .

I am nearing completion of my 'DIY' fiberglass extended swim platform, having taken the part out of the mold this past weekend.  I posted a thread (or 2) a few months ago about slowing the cure time of resin and wetting out biaxial cloth.

Picture of my new platform getting ready to install it on the boat . . .

In doing my QC check and tapping around the surface , I noticed a few 'dry' spots under the gelcoat.  I opened a couple of them and applied some resin and then gelcoat, but there are a few others that I have found using both 'tap' test and with a jet spray from a garden hose.

As such, I  still have a strong hold on my 'novice' status for resin infusion Crazy Tongue Smile

I am wondering if there is a preferred or easy way to repair these areas  - each one is a few sq. inches  (15-20 sq cm).

Regards,
tpenfield

Going through the gel is probably easier than trying to get in behind.  There isn't really an easy way to do it unfortunately.

You can re infuse dry spots. Just do a mini infusion on the dry spot only.
