Hello everyone. I'm working on a racing wheel button box for a Sim rig. I wanted to share my infusion experience with you. Here’s the finished part
video
.
The infusions was INSANELY fast and the outer portion seemed to lose a lot of detail. Seems like the Soric SF made it kind of “blobby”. Here’s a picture of Pressure drop test.. Unfortunately, I didn’t think to record the start but once the intake line was open the resin shot through the flow media in under 10 seconds. I was a bit nervous that the infusion was complete and it all floated over the part but it seems strong and fully infused.
Anyway, it’s stiff as hell.. even put it through a fun torture test:

The surface is super wrinkly and has tiny dents all over (presumably from the Flow media impression)
Not sure how to correct these features. Any advice would be great!
Equipment list:
KozyVac 2 stage pump .5 HP (25 micron)
Soric SF 2mm
Red Flex Flow media
Airtech Ipplon KM1300 LFT bagging
Six layers of 200 GSM 3K 2x2 twill 3 on top/bottom of core
