Can I use the 2:1 ratio method when dealing with small or large amounts of resin
e.g.:-
16g resin would need 8g hardener
OR
220g resin would need 110 hardener??
Thank you

No! 16g of resin require 7.2g of hardener and 220g of resin require 99g of hardener (220*.45=99) Or if you want to do it by volume, 200ml of resin require 100ml of hardener!

But 1g =1ml 16g=16ml 200g=200ml and so this is what I dont understand, why have different methods when 2:1 ie 200g resin to 100g hardener could cover them all, because 200ml = 200g 100ml = 100g ??

No the density of the resin nor hardener is 1. More something like 1.15 g/ml for the resin and 0.95 for the hardener!

Oh, sorry. I messed up with the two ratios. No, if you are using scales, you have to weight 100:45, no matter what quantity.
