Glasscast 50 accelerate curing with higher temperature

D Group: Forum Members Posts: 4, Visits: 42	Hi, I'm currently making some translucent statuettes with the glasscast 50 but I'm a little bit in a rush. Is it possible to accelerate the curing by putting the mold in an oven after the initial heat of the reaction has dissipated ? How would be the curing times ? Thank you in advance

Thank you in advance Once the initial heat has lowered you can probably risk it. Rule of thumb is that you can half the curing time for ever 10°C of temperature rise. Would probably not go over 60 for an initial cure. And make sure your mould can handle the heat (right resin AND an adequate poat curing of the mould. Cheers, Lester
