least viscous type of resin

r Group: Forum Members Posts: 4, Visits: 6	Hello, I recently bought GlassCast 3 Clear Epoxy Coating Resin for a small project I am working on (an artistic project, not a penny floor), however found the resin to be far too viscous as i require the resin to drain off the object i am applying it to in order to leave the object with a very thin coat on the surface that will not require polishing . I had previously used resin however bought from a different supplier in Vienna which i think was used for building yachts but i no longer have the can. Any info on different products or methods will be much appreciated cheers ronan

r Group: Forum Members Posts: 4, Visits: 6	+x Warren (Staff) - 10/17/2018 4:09:56 PM In terms of viscosity, you could get a thinner coat with the GlassCast 10, however it is not likely to lay as smoothly on the surface. GlassCast 3, because of its thickness and chemical additives, lays very smooth on a surface when poured thick enough. Going thinner means the surface will be less flat. With both resins you would still get i high gloss finish. thank you for your reply, Looking on the website it says for the glass cast 10 that the open surface will require polishing. Does this mean there will be a different finish to the glass cast 3? thanks again ronan
