Hello,

I recently bought GlassCast 3 Clear Epoxy Coating Resin for a small project I am working on (an artistic project, not a penny floor), however found the resin to be far too viscous as i require the resin to drain off the object i am applying it to in order to leave the object with a very thin coat on the surface that will not require polishing . I had previously used resin however bought from a different supplier in Vienna which i think was used for building yachts but i no longer have the can. Any info on different products or methods will be much appreciated
cheers

yes, the GlassCast 10 does not lay as smooth so more undulations, ripples or dimples are likely compared to the GlassCast3.  GlassCast 3 wants to be poured around 1.6-2.0mm thick as a minimum to get a smooth finish.  Poured over artwork, it should be possible to pour just under 2mm thick per pour with a little excess running over the edge.
