Hi Woody

I usually do a few test samples that I can then examine and handle. That way you really know what you are getting.

This has saved my bacon many times. Carbon and epoxy are expensive so testing a small patch or two is time well spent.

I keep all my tests labeled so for future projects I can look at them and know in a moment what I need as far as layers.

Hi,

I saw it, but the resin thichness is estimated to be zero, when 3 layers  ?

The form i have to make has not angles,  or complicated shape. It's very flat, in deed.

Hi.

You can find thicknesses of the fabric you want at the EC website, in the product description.

For example, for the 195g/sqm carbon: here.

Hope it helps.

Before beginning any carbon fiber construction, I wish I knew what is the average thickness of 3 layers of carbon fiber 195g 2/2 twill+UD 250g +195g 2/2 twill, including the resin ?
