OV301: Write issue/freeze

Hi E.C. Team, 
(Question probably for Miss. Stacie or anyone that can assist)

I am having an issue with the write function on the CN7-B program freezing.
I know that if the ."Set Value" is set lower than the min oper. temp of 10C,then it will error out (freeze per user manual). So I went ahead and changed all to 20C min to be safe.
I also made sure that the first step started with 20C at 1 min so the CN7-B/PID can calculate the amount of time needed to get to the next step for Ramp prior to soak.  
The lights are blinking on the USB port also so I know its trying to do something. 
All patterns are set to standard patterns for EMP160/EG160/XT135/XC110.

Based on my patterns can you guys see anything wrong? I have tested multiple patterns just to see if it would write.

Side question, what is considered an overloaded oven? 

Any help would be awesome!

Hi Mike,

I can't see anything wrong with your program that may cause a write failure, however, it is important to check that the 'Range Lo' value is set to '10.' After changing this value it is important to press enter 2x to lock the value.

I would also try shutting the software down completely and restarting it. Once it has been restarted, check that the values are all still 20 as they may not have been locked in.

One small thing I have noticed with your program is that 'Pattern 2' has 'Link Pattern' set to 'Pattern 2.' If this is the case, once the pattern ends it will run Pattern 2 afterwards, straight away. As a result, pattern 2 will loop infinitely. The value should be 'Program End' if you want the oven to stop at the end of the program.

If you are still having issues, I have attached our default program that you can try to upload.  To upload this program, firstly unzip the file. Click 'Read File', and navigate to the file. Next, click 'Write' to upload the file to the oven.

With regards to overloading the oven, this is a difficult question to answer specifically. Basically, any large heavy items will cause the oven's performance in terms of heating and cooling rate to be reduced. For example, we sometimes see a very slow heat up and cool down when multiple very large aluminum tools are loaded into the oven.

The other way the oven can be overloaded is when it is loaded in such a way that the airflow inside is restricted. This restriction means that even temperature control becomes impossible. This is sometimes seen when lots of parts are stacked on a single shelf rather than spread over multiple shelves. It is important when loading the oven that there are gaps between all the parts. Bad loading of this type can cause parts to improperly cure.

In regards to 'Range Lo' I made sure not to touch that section. Smile

For the restarting, I did multiple times to test again. I actually even went to the extent to shut down just to be sure.

You have a really good eye! I will correct that.

I also saved the default program too just to make sure I can revert in case I made a mistake. I will load your file and see if it saves. If it does, then I made a mistake somewhere on my program and I will correct that. I will update as soon as I get results.

This makes a lot of sense. I will make sure there is a good amount of space in between each part.
