Yes you can. It is commonly done in the way you describe for exactly the reason of a smoother floor. You can either pour the GlassCast 3 when the previous resin layer has cured to the firm but tacky....

Hi, Is 3 much harder than 10, I'm sure I read it's good for counter tops etc? many thanks, Paul

The hardness is pretty similar. The use of GlassCast 3 on top of 50 is primarily done for the surface smoothness and hence the ability to pour it without further finishing.
