Group: Forum Members Posts: 42, Visits: 241	I want to make a foamcore panel and it needs to be very strong. Q1: What type of foam should I use? Q2: How do I calculate the resinamount? Q3: Any ideas on how many layers of fiber i will need on each side? Imagine the board to be 50cm wide and 150cm long, I want to be able to place 80kilos on it. Is that doable? Cheers / Zach

Group: Forum Members Posts: 27, Visits: 39	Hey Zach, I' guess you'll want to be using the closed-cell pvc stuff but how's the board supported? can it flex much with the weight on? what's the max thickness you wanna go to? all of this would make a big difference, if you can tell us what your trying to make that might help!

It will have s slight curve to it which will give some stability, but nu more support than that. Thickness? Hmmm, let´s say max 10mm. I mean, we already have superlight plastic stretchers, I can´t think why not a CF version wouldn`t work. /Cheers

Group: Forum Members Posts: 4, Visits: 16	I am interested in the same matter: to make sandwich panels (something between 100mm x 100mm and 200mm x 200mm) combining two carbon fiber 1mm rigid sheets and one 5 mm Closed Cell PVC Foam in between.
