Hello all,

We thought we would share this interesting article about a carbon fiber subway car which is 35% lighter than the traditional metal ones:

There are lots of great benefits to this new car. How long do you all think it is before we see these on the tracks?

Hi Matthieu, do you work with composites in transportation, or in another area?

How well will this pass the very stringent FST requirements for rail? I have worked on rail applications and its either phenolics or thermoplastics, this is a very good idea though as the floors in trains are still made from wood.

Hi Scott Racing, would love to hear more about your experience in your rail, and how you see composites being integrated into subways/long-distance trains in the next few years?
