We are using XT135 tooling prepreg moulds for making XC110 component prepreg parts.
Before laminating with XC110, we apply Easy-Lease Release Agent. We do not use other release agents. We know that Easy-Lease Release Agent does not have to be removed after demoulding. Since the prepreg process is relatively aggressive it is likely that applying Easy-Lease Release Agent prior to laminating with XC110 is optimal.

We are unsure where in the above production process Easy-Lease Mould Cleaner would fit in.
Does it make sense, from time to time, to remove all of the previous Easy-Lease Release Agent applications to prevent build up (which could reduce dimensional accuracy)?
Or should Easy-Lease Mould Cleaner be used when the mould is contaminated by a finger print for example (resulting in inferior surface quality of the final prepreg part)?
Or should Easy-Lease Mould Cleaner be used regularily in order to remove small particles like dust which are trapped in Easy-Lease Release Agent residues (which could reduce surface quality of the final prepreg part)?

The mould cleaner will remove the Easy Lease Chemical Release Agent, so it is more suited to deep cleaning of the mould such as when you have made a repair or just after manufacture of the mould.

Is it advisable to use Easy-Lease Mould Cleaner to clean finished prepreg parts that are meant to get in contact with skin? Or do finished prepreg parts not have significant residues of Easy-Lease Release Agent for that to be worth it?

There is no reason why you can't clean the finished parts with mould cleaner if you wish. I have not heard of any problems with handling cured pre-preg due to traces of release agent on the part but if you are worried then it cant hurt to clean the part to be on the safe side.

Thanks. I assume then it is also not necessary to use Easy-Lease Mould Cleaner before polishing a finished prepreg part (for example with EASYGLOSS Carbon Fibre Polish & Protect)?

No its not necessary.  The very light abrasive nature would remove any traces of the release agent during the polishing process anyway.

And what is the best glove for Easy-Lease Mould Cleaner? I am not completely sure, but I think nitril gloves do not protect from Easy-Lease Mould Cleaner sufficiently enough. Is this a job for latex gloves?

Nitrile gloves generally offer better chemical resistance than latex - especially when it comes to epoxy resins.  I see no reason why latex would be better with solvents than nitrile gloves?

Yeh the cleaner will chew latex gloves quick smart. With nitrite gloves you will have maybe 5 minutes.

The only type of gloves that can resist these types of solvent are laminated film gloves, which are MIGHTY expensive. Talking $200 a pair. Best to just work quickly! 

Will try to work more quickly next time. The problem I had last time was that Easy-Lease Mould Cleaner evaporated pretty quickly. As recommended I was using Lint Free Solvent Application Wipes and it costs time of course if you have to reapply the cleaner to the wipe several times in one cleaning process. I am wondering if for certain moulds it could be better to just pour Easy-Lease Mould Cleaner in it and only then use the Lint Free Solvent Application Wipes.
