Probably apply carbon in two stages. Stage one, cover all the fins, stage 2 cover the main diffuser part.

Aw ok I was going to do the main part first then the fins or go over the fins in one peice and have the join at the bottom off the fin could that work ?

You are better doing fins first as you can hide the overlap under the large main piece of carbon

It's virtually impossible to make 'seamless joins' with any type of carbon fibre, including skinning with dry fabric - even when you use ProFinish. Instead, what you will normally need to do is eithe...
